Willidici
Everyone seems to be asking … What is Willidici?
Willidici is a bicycling group, habit, attitude, party, body part, event, condition, and/or state of mind.
The word has a special meaning in ancient Italian, or rather, vulgar Latin.
It reportedly also has roots in Welsh and Irish/Gaelic.
Grammar
The 2nd most common question the Willidici get, especially from astute Iowans is … “What are the Willidici’s preferred pronouns?”
The answer is a resounding: “Yes … and verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and especially dangling participles.”
Always Up
The 3rd most common question the Willidici get, mostly from alert and admiring bikers and civilians is ... "Why are the Willidici Always Up?"
The answer depends on our mood, but normally is: "We are always up for a ride, always up for a laugh, always up for a beer, or always up for all 3. And we're (almost) always ahead of other bikers, always cheerful, and we always openly exhibit firm stamina."
Bikers commonly help each other to notice something in front or ahead of the pack, with a robust yell, such as "Car up!" or in the case of our team riding by: "Willidici Always Up!"
How to Pronounce Willidici
The Willi part of the name is Welsh; therefore, it is pronounced Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
The dici part of the name is Italian; therefore it is pronounced deechee, as in pizza.
